Issue Position: Affordable College & Career Training

Issue Position

Date: Jan. 1, 2018

It's hard enough to make ends meet around here - without looking at what a college education costs these days. We should help students who work hard attend college without taking on a lifetime of debt, help parents who want to contribute to their children's college education without sacrificing their own retirement savings, and we should provide job training opportunities to make sure those who don't attend college still have the opportunity to get a good job. Not only can we help students when they leave high school, but by taking these steps to strengthen a Connecticut education, we become a more attractive location for businesses that pay well.
